Description and operation
In Definitive Ecology’s grit treatment system the grit slurry is fed through an inlet flange into a tank in which the solid particles are settled. Floating particulate is removed also thanks to special flow deflectors and the layout of the inlet and discharge flanges. The grit is lifted to the discharge port by a screw with reduced rotation speed. The grit is dewatered while it is being transferred to the discharge port.
